I took "Bhudda" the last week in May of 2000. After 30 years of hunting bears in Montana, this is the largest black bear I've ever had my hands on. I have no idea how much he weighed, but it was more than one person could do to role him over. I was about 4 miles in behind a gate on a gated road. I had four other chances to shoot bears that night, I'm glad I held out. I was using a 60" one-piece recurve with 2117 aluminum shafts and Magnus broadhead. The arrow entered at the last rib and exited between the neck and the shoulder. He only went about 100 yards.

Now there's a bear's paw with a Bear's Paw! This was in the spring, middle of May, of 1999. Bear hunting in Montana is strictly a spot and stalk proposition. I was able to sneak within 20 yards of this bear. One shot through his lungs and an 80 yard recovery. He measured approximately 6 ft. I used a 58" take-down recurve with a 64# draw weight, 2117 aluminum shaft with a 125 gr. 4 blade Magnus broadhead.
