I do not use or at least unless I get some in my stocking, I try to use natural scents. Preferring real rotting leaves to chemicals, pine needles vs pine scents....dirt for my face instead of expensive cosmetics. If the conditions are right, I just roll around on the ground soaking up all the natural smells onto my hunting clothes. Of course, when I return home, I have to use the back door next to the laundry room.

I try to shoot through the base of the wings. Breaking at least one wing will prevent them from getting air born and will get the vitals. Dead turkey

I went out the last weekend of turkey season here in Montana. The weather was windy but I just had to try. I called in a longbeard and 3 jakes. I waited for the longbeard to fan out and shot him about an inch from the vent angling forward. He flopped around a second then got airborne and flew down the mountain. I lost sight of him in the trees. I gave him a half hour and started looking for him. After 3 hours I went and got a friend with 2 Labs and we never did find him. Anyone got any suggestions on where to shoot one of these bald headed buzzards?

Hey Tim,
I thought you were having weight removed from a bow, not buying another one!

Shorty
Let me know how the golf shoot goes. A golf shoot sounds like a lot of fun to me.

Just a few weeks ago I got a used "short" recurve from Neil. It is 52" long, 56@25". Well with everything else going on I have finally gotten it ready to go, should have pictures next week. It is zippin' a Beman MFX 400 with 215 grs. upfront! Am going to take it to the Golf Shoot this weekend.

It has been a year or so since I fished the Elk. As much as I love fishing big cutthroat's the change in fishing licenses put a damper on me going north. I'm looking to do a float on the Blackwater this year or next. Dave not that I'm against outfitters but the fun in hunting and fishing is figuring it out on my own. I like just taking my float boat and spending a few day's on the river just living life large.
I will look at the NALS again if they are starting to include women and kids.
